Kathleen Raas
August 13, 1914 - March 22, 2015

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother, Kathleen Raas who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 22, 2015 in her 101st year. She will be lovingly remembered by one son Larry Kowalczyk (Eugenia) and six daughters, Leona (Bob) Kelly, Agnes (Ray) Sheetka, Josie (Rene) April, Barbara (Phil) Hartman, Pat (Laurie) MacNeil, Bernadette (Vic) Yasinski, son-in-law Herman Schitka, 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Kowalczyk in 1965 and second husband Peter Raas in 2002, her daughters Lorraine Karasiuk, Adeline Schitka, son-in-law Ed Karasiuk, granddaughter Maureen Kelly, her parents and all 8 of her siblings. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Oliver Lodge and St. Volodymyr before that, for their kind and compassionate care in the last years of Mom's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to Oliver Lodge (1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R4) or to a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Peter the Apostle Church (1121 Northumberland Ave, Saskatoon).
