Margaret Estell, 81, Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, April 4, 2015, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
Born June 14, 1933, in Newport, she was a daughter of the late F. Duncan and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Campbell. In earlier years, Margaret worked at Weir’s Nursing Home and then went on to work at Crossley Carpets, from where she retired in 1998.
Many will remember Margaret for her love of flowers and spending countless hours in her flower garden; her family asks that you find a corner in your garden and grow a flower in her memory.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary (Robert) Cox, Onslow Mountain; grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Nicole Cox (James Creelman), Halifax; Mathew Cox, Onslow Mountain; sister, Mary Walker, Charlottetown; brothers, Jerome (Harriet) Campbell, Cornwall; Gerald Campbell, Newport; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Bibiana (Frank) Murphy; brothers, Leo in infancy, Vernon Campbell, Joseph Campbell, Peter (Stella) Campbell.
Special thanks are extended to her neighbours, especially Robert and Carol, who became her family’s ears and eyes and let her stay in her home as long as possible.
Honouring Margaret’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. If so desired, donations in Margaret’s memory to The Alzheimer Society or SPCA are welcomed.
