TRENTON – Loretta Janet Pace, formerly of Trenton, passed away at Valley View Villa on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the age of 93.
Born in Glace Bay, Dec.19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Janet (Terrifield) Hiscock and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a proud member of the congregation of Saint Augustine Anglican Church in Trenton until its closing. She was a long serving member of the Steeltown Friendly Group and a regular in the Friday Rummoli crowd. Fond memories were created during the many years as a member of the Good Term Campers.
She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and her five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Michele) Truro; four grandchildren: Nikki (Lionel Clarke) Pace, Brentwood; Kimberlee (Rob) Milberry, Truro; Corey (Serena) Shortliffe, Truro; and Ashlyn Stevens, Truro; as well as four great-grandchildren: Kiran, Avi, Brayden and Hunter.
Visitation 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton from where funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Bill White officiating. Reception to follow in the First United Church Hall.
Interment will occur at a later date.
