The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, of Josephine Mary DesRoches (nee Arsenault) of Summerside, aged 96 years. Josephine was born in Palmer Road to her late parents John and Judith (nee Gaudet) Arsenault. Beloved wife of her first husband the late Peter Gaudet, her seconded husband the late Ernest DesRoches and loving mother of Freddie of Tignish, Johnny (Maria), Ronald (Olivine), and Julia (Bob) Woods all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Hilda DesRoches and Eva Bernard of Tignish. Besides her parents and husbands, Josephine was predeceased by her son Bobby, two grandsons Wayne and Johnny Gaudet, daughter-in-law Geraldine, brothers and sisters Jane, Bella, Louise, Amie, Eugene, Nelson, Aldon and Kate. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, April 11, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Josephine’s memory to the St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund or the Wedgewood Manor Fund would be greatly appreciated.
