Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, April 9, 2015, Carrie L. Martin (nee Tucker) of Burnt Point, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband: Fred; parents: William Henry 'Harry' and Florence 'Florie' Tucker; parents-in-law: William and Jessie Martin; sisters-in-law: Louise Tucker, Mae Bowder, Daisy Locke and Betty Gill; brother-in-law: Jim McCarthy; nephews: Ralph and Freddy Evans; niece: Wanda Martin. Leaving to mourn, one brother: Albert Tucker, Lond Pond; one sister: Irene Tucker, St. John's; brothers-in-law: George Locke, Corner Brook, Norman (Maisie) Martin, Glenburnie and Doug (Beverly) Martin, Manuels; sister-in-law: Josephine McCarthy, Burlington, ON; nieces: Juanita (Berk) Peach, Paula Hogan and Lorraine Tucker; nephews: Byron Tucker, Darryl (Stephanie) Martin and Ian Martin, all of Conception Bay South, where she resided for many years; also a number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation on Friday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the Gospel Hall Cemetery, Burnt Point.
