Edward "Ted" Bringloe

BRINGLOE, EDWARD "TED" H.
The passing of Edward (Ted) H. Bringloe of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday April 13, 2015 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital after a long struggle with a number of illnesses. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 25, 1935, he was the son of the late Edward S. Bringloe and Helen (Handy) Bringloe.
Ted attended the Maritime College of Pharmacy and Dalhousie University and later the Dalhousie Institute of Public Affairs. He resided in Fredericton since 1963. He spent several years with Ross Drugs on Queen St. and Smythe St. After a number of years in retail pharmacy he joined the provincial government and served for 23 years in several Departments. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was the Film Commissioner for the province.
Ted was involved in many community activities including coaching of minor sports. He was a past President of the Lions Club and served as an auxiliary RCMP Constable at Nashwaaksis and Fredericton Detachments. He was involved in the formation of the Friends of the Fredericton Public Library. He was well known for his photography and had been a charter member and past President of Photo Fredericton.
Ted is survived by his former wife Marilyn of Fredericton NB, sons Shawn (Janine) of Fredericton NB, Chris (Barb) of Islandview NB, Scott (Joanne) of Toronto ON; six grandchildren Sasha, Chelsea, Trevor, Steven, Simon and Joshua; and step-mother Sandra of Halifax.
There will be no visitation or service at the request of the family.
