STEEVES, BARBARA
Barbara Louise "Barb" Steeves, age 82 of Dawson Settlement, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Loving wife to Austin Steeves for 58 years, Beloved Mother to Charlene Atkinson (deceased August 15, 2012 at age 54 from ALS), two sons Craig (Donna) and Colin (Carol) of Dawson Settlement , Barb will also be missed by her closest remaining family member, Peggy Hanson of Le Furgey Special Care Home. Barb was a loving mother and was involved with her children with hockey, figure skating, and football. Barb loved her grandchildren; Mitchell Atkinson (Claudia), Lindsey Folkins (Aaron), Justin Steeves, Curtis Steeves (Miranda), Keith Steeves, Kevin Steeves, and great grandchildren; Lucas Folkins, Paisley Steeves, Jayden Flewelling, Broden Flewelling, Colby Steeves, and Carter Steeves.
Barb was very active in her Church, and community center. She was Church treasurer and taught adult Sunday school for many years at Dawson Settlement Baptist Church, and she was a strong supporter of Missions as a Dominion Life WMS member.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:00pm with visitation held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dawson Settlement Baptist Church, Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
