THORBURN – William “Billy” Otto Haggart, age 57 of Thorburn, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Lee and Alva (MacIntosh) Haggart.
Billy worked 27 years for the Dept. of Transportation. He had a talent for music and could play almost any instrument. Billy was well known for his 1954 red Ford pickup.
He is survived by his brother Sandy (Jenny) of Thorburn; a special cousin Barbara Palmer and special friend Regina Bailey of Antigonish.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Cavanaugh) Haggart.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home from where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating.
Donations in memory of Billy may be made to the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn steeple fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
