Passed peacefully away on Friday, April 17, 2015, Martin Rowe of Glenwood, aged 72 years. Predeceased by parents: Selby (1988) and Asenath (1996) and brothers, Selby Jr. (1945) and Vernon (2011). He leaves to mourn and celebrate his life, wife Evelyn (nee Rowsell) and their three children: Fred (Brenda), Lisa (Jason) Vaters, and Shayne (Tina) and four grandsons: Jacob Vaters, Kyle, Troy and Liam Rowe. He is also lovingly remembered by six sisters and one brother: Irma (Sterling) Freake, Mabel Hiscock, Marie Hogan, Harry (Betty), Willa (Calvin) Cole, Shirley (Gerald) Warren, Linda (Ira) Halfyard, special brother-in-law, Adrian (Nora) Hogan, as well as a large number of nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends. Martin was a loving husband, the best Dad and Pop. He was a teacher to thousands of students, a hunter of moose, rabbits and berries, he loved to fish for salmon and trout and he was a die-hard Habs fan. He was also a master storyteller and he loved to make others laugh. Martin was a kind, good hearted, give the shirt of his back to anyone kind of man. A role model and a mentor. He loved to talk but he also loved to listen to his family, friends and strangers. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation for family and friends on Saturday April 25th, 12 pm until time of funeral. The Funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, April 25th, at 2 pm. By request of the family, in lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations in Martin's memory may be made to the Glenwood First United Church.
