It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother Mrs. Emma Gallant (nee Pineau) in her 98th year of St. Joseph¹s Nursing Home, Dundas, Ontario. She was born in Bloomfield, PEI, on July 2, 1917, the daughter of the late Henri Pineau and the late Sophia Poirier and was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her dear husband of 64 years, the late Henry Joseph Gallant (2000) of Howlan, PEI. Left to mourn are her six children: Hank (Roma), London, Ontario; Gloria (Wayne) Park, Grimsby, Ontario; Alicia (Philibért) Pelletier, Barrie, Ontario; Louis (Mavis), Hamilton, Ontario; Marjorie (Bob) Thomas, Hamilton, Ontario; and Gary (Debbie), Niagara Falls, Ontario; six grandchildren Richard (Sally) Pelletier, Michael (Stacey) Gallant, Jennifer Thomas, Rebecca (Joshua) Massie, Taylor and Joel Gallant; five great-grandchildren Candice and Thomas Pelletier, Emma and Lilah Massie and Logan Thomas. It brings us comfort now to bring her home for the final time. Many thanks for the years of compassionate care given to our mother at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.
