Raymond Stockall

STOCKALL, RAYMOND A. "INK"
The passing of Raymond Alfred “Ink” Stockall, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on April 26, 2015 at the age of 91. Born on June 4, 1923 in Moncton, NB to the late William C. and Gertrude (Townshend) Stockall.
He was a retired glass technician for Speedy Auto Glass, Sumner Company and PPG Hobbs Glass. During World War II he served in the Royal Canadian Navy aboard corvettes in the Atlantic. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Moncton for 25 years. He was a member of the Moncton Curling Club, Lakeside Golf and Country Club, the Seniors Bowling League at Fairlanes Bowling Center and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 in Moncton. Ink enjoyed many summers with Jean and the grandchildren at the cottage at Caissie Cape.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Jean (Gallant); son, James (Alice) of Moncton; daughter, Catherine (Louis Green) of Quispamsis; five grandchildren, Neil (Geralyn) Stockall of Quispamsis, Michael Stockall of Moncton, Sharon (Adam Bursey) of Moncton, Erin (Hazen Kennedy) of Quispamsis and Joseph of Quispamsis; four great-grandchilden, Shaelee and Caeleb Stockall, Jacob and Sophie Bursey. He is also survived by his brother, Rev Reginald (Barbara) Stockall of Moncton; brother-in-law Bud (Ruth) Gallant of Penrose, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth (1927), Ellis (1995) and Garnet (1998).
Arrangements are under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, NB, E1E 3V9, (506) 852-3530. A private family committal service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
