It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd George Pomeroy announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the age of 73 years. Lloyd leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Hilda nee Young, his children: Victor Walkins, Shawn (Deb), Ben and Bob (Desiree), his granddaughters: (very special granddaughter Ashley), Vanessa and Valerie, his sisters: Edna Newman and Pauline Randell, his special aunt Mert Pomeroy, and his special friend Harry Leroux. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents: Claude and Violet Pomeroy, his brother in laws: William Newman and Fredrick Randell. Lloyd also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family & friends. The family will be receiving relatives and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel on 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In keeping with Lloyd's wishes, cremation will take place, followed by the Memorial service at Parsons Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 2pm, with Pastor: Craig Giles officiating.
