Bernice "Blondie" Inglis

It is with heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Bernice "Blondie" Inglis, 92 years of age. She left us peacefully, Friday May 1, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional health Care Centre. Born October 15, 1922 in Stewiacke, NS to Elmore and Katherine (nee McPhee) McLellan.
She married John "Jack" Inglis (1923- 2008) in 1942 and with him had 7 children and cared or fostered many more. Anyone who knew her would surely say she was a loving mother and amazing grandmother, a friendly woman always with a kind word or a big smile to give. She will be truly be missed by many.
Survived by her 3 daughters, Sheryl (Tom) Chaudar of ON, Mikelyn (Dan) Chapman, of Edmonton, AB and Lori (Sandy) Stratton of Charlottetown, PEI; 4 sons, Robert (Barbara) of Bridgewater, NS, William (Gail), Halifax,NS, David (Patty) of Amherst , NS and Jory (Cathy), Bridgewater of NS; sisters, Winnie Reid of Oxford, NS, Viola Aylward (George) of Lower Sackville, NS; , 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Jack, sisters, Lillian Rutledge, Inez Horne, Minnie Logan, brothers, Charles, Joseph & Jack McLellan.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS. As per Bernice's request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in the Fenwick Cemetery at a later date.
