1953-2015
Basil Ralph Kennie, 61,of Harvey, Albert County passed away on May 6th, 2015 at his residence. Basil was born in Riverside on August 25th,1953 the son of the late Henry and Helena (Duffy) Kennie.
Basil worked as a machinist, electrician and in the woods. Basil was a handyman and could do anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed times spent with his friends and sharing a few laughs.
Basil will be missed by his daughter, Bryna (Matt Dixon) of Beaverbrook; his three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Angus and Madison; sisters, Margaret Butland (Rod) of Shepody, Doreen Butland (Ivan) of Alma, Carole Masters of Riverside-Albert, Ruth Young (Llewellyn) of Hillsborough, Helena Brantnall of Toronto, ON and Lorna Brantnall of Toronto, ON; brothers, Darrell Kennie (Rita) of Toronto, ON, Doug Kennie (Tina) of Mississauga, ON, Leslie Kennie (Ruth) of Shepody and Lorne Brantnall of Riverside-Albert. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and by his good friend, Don Oldford.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Harvey Baptist Church on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Donald Oldford officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
