Antoinette Folk

Antoinette Folk passed away peacefully at the Foyer St. Joseph Nursing Home in Ponteix at the age of 92. She was born on a farm north of Ponteix SK. She married Anton (Tony) on October 26, 1943 at Billimun SK where they lived and farmed until 1961 when they moved to Ponteix and lived until their passing. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony; also her parents Theodore and Alice (Descormiers) Aurat; all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Gerard (Helen) Aurat, Georgette (Stan) Parrish, Herve Aurat, George (Ann) Aurat, Yvette (Joe) Goffinet, Leo Paul (Vi) Aurat; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Mathias and Margaret; and by all of her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses. Antoinette is survived by her children, Alice (John) Witkowski, Marcel (Judy) Folk, Rick (Carol) Folk, Bernie Taylor (Jim Enns); grandchildren Mark Witkowski, Greg (Jennifer) Witkowski, Shawn (Dawn) Folk, Angeline Folk, Kirk (Sylvia) Taylor and Tonya Woods; and by great-grandchildren Madison, Dawson, Erin, Jamie Hazel, Tassa and Dylan. She was a C.W.L. member for many years. She sang in the choir for many years until she thought she couldn't sing anymore. She helped out the church as an assistant for many years. She liked to play cards and bingo and crochet for pastime. She really liked to watch TV for wrestling and Dr. Phil. When we would come to visit she would always want to play cards or games, but she didn't like to lose as we all knew. She really enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came to visit. She loved us all. Her prayer service was April 24, 2015 and the funeral mass was on April 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Notre Dame d'Auvergne Roman Catholic Church in Ponteix SK, with Father Guy Amedee Ainemon officiating.
