It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, David Thompson at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital,
Sydney on Thursday, May 7, 2015, with his family by his side.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Marrie) Thompson.
He was a businessman and partner with the company Relay Graphics until his retirment.
David enjoyed fishing, painting and watching hockey. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing hockey. He was a member of Sacred Heart parish, Johnstown.
David is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (MacKinnon) Thompson; son, David Jr. (Leslie) Thompson, Toronto, Ont.; his precious granddaughters, Tyeler and Layla. He is also survived by his sisters, Marlee, Halifax, Betty, Toronto; brothers, Norman (Diane), Sydney River, Bob (Sue), London, Ont.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joan; brothers, Jim and Joe.
Cremation has taken place.
