Formerly from Wesleyville, Bonavista Bay, passed away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Irene Monnier aged 90 years. Predeceased by her husband: Rene Monnier (Swiss Watch Maker), 1974; infant son: David Charles Monnier (1951); sisters: Nellie Parsons, Bessie Prince, Susan Moss, Cassandra Butt and Mary Parsons; brothers: Samuel, Clarence and Leonard; brothers-in-law: Ken Parsons, Chester Prince, Edison Butt and Arthur Parsons; sisters-in-law: Blanche Wilkins and Nettie Wilkins. Leaving to mourn her sons: Raymond (Helen) and Donald; grandson: Pieter Monnier (Sarah); great-granddaughter: Ellie Aveline Monnier; sister: Maisie Howse (Fred) of Ontario, as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm. - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Chapel on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
