Jerry (Gerald) William Journeay, 82 born on September 2, 1932, in Weymouth, Nova Scotia, passed away April 3, 2015. He resided in Palm Springs, CA.
He was the oldest of ten children of Gerald and Evelyn (Gates) Journeay. Brother of (late) Vera, Shirley, Ralph Journeay (Della), Reg Journeay, (late)Gordon Journeay (Lois), Donna Hansen (John), Barbara Journeay, David Journeay (Sheila), Gary Journeay (Pauline). Uncle of seventeen nephews and nieces, great uncle of twenty- nine and great, great uncle of two. Survived by an Uncle, Richard Journeay of Nova Scotia and an Aunt, Olive (Gates) Hill of Welland, Ontario. Jerry travelled extensively throughout his life. Jerry left Nova Scotia to attend High School in Saint John, NB, after his graduation from High School Jerry worked a short time in Saint John, NB and moved on to Toronto, from there he went to Banff Springs, AB, then onto Vancouver, BC, after taking a trip to California, US he decided that this is where he would like to live. Accepted a job with the Santa Fe Railway where he worked for 15 years in Los Angeles. He eventually became a Tour Director at Globus Gateway and led tours throughout the world for thirty five years before retiring.
