MARSTEN, THELMA MARGARET
Thelma M. Marsten of Fredericton and formerly of Burtts Corner, NB passed away May 14, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Thelma was born at New Haven, Connecticut in 1925, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Ritchie) Dore. She was a member of the Burtts Corner Baptist Church, and worked in retail sales for many years.
Thelma is survived by two daughters, Donna Lavigne, Fredericton, NB and Beth Shepard (Frank), Burtts Corner, NB; two grandsons, Derek Shepard (Shelly) and Bradley Shepard (Tammy); two great granddaughters, Sydny and Mackenzie; two great grandsons, Mathew and Riley; a sister, Shirley Dickinson, Rossville, NB; a sister-in-law, Aldena Dore, Southampton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James D. Marsten; a sister, Glenna Drost and three brothers, Earle, Merrill and Medley Dore.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home dining room. Interment at the Lenentine Cemetery.
