It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John White (62) on the morning of Tuesday, May 12, 2015. John is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Alice White, and sister Debbie. He is survived by his loving partner of 39 years, Michael Foreman; also survived by brothers Patrick and Joseph, son Jeff, daughter Lisa, grandchildren: LeShonna, Serrina, Shane, Joseph, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Jayden and Ayvah. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario where he commenced a career as a Registered Nurse, John continued his career at Toronto General Hospital for 16 years. In 2001, John moved to Vancouver Island, where he worked at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. John enjoyed his furry family pets Tiger and Sadie, his close friends, and traveling with his life partner. A public visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 2 to 6 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Ave., Colwood, British Columbia. A funeral mass take place Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 753 Burnside Road West, Victoria, British Columbia. Interment will follow at Hatley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to The Salvation Army Sunset Lodge, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
