L. Teresa Kane

The death occurred peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015 at The Mount Continuing Care Community of L. Teresa Kane, of Charlottetown and formerly of Green Meadows, P.E.I., in her 88th year.
Teresa is lovingly remembered by her brother, Father Joseph Kane OMI of Ottawa; sisters, Joan (Gord) Golding of Stoney Creek, Ontario, Sister Rosalia Kane CSM of Charlottetown and Gemma (Terrence dec.) O’Sullivan of Ottawa; sister-in-law, Alice Mary Kane of Regina; godson, Terry O’Sullivan of Ottawa; and goddaughter, Maureen (Paul) Hickey of Halifax. Teresa is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews in Canada and the United States. Teresa has one nephew on the Island, Kevin (Janet) Kane, and grandniece, Liah, of Lakeside, who have been very supportive of Teresa and the family. Teresa is also fondly remembered by many friends in Canada and the United States.
Teresa was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Elva Kane of Green Meadows, P.E.I.; brothers, James Kane of Regina, and Norman Kane of Lakeside, P.E.I.; and sisters, Mary (Gerry) Mulcahy of Halifax and Imelda (Henry) Kane-Connolly of Montreal.
The Kane family offers grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at The Mount who competently and lovingly cared for Teresa in these final months. Sincere thanks also to Dr. Stacey Champion for her expert medical attention.
The Kane family would also like to express gratitude to Mrs. Noreen Corrigan and the staff of Corrigan Home, where Teresa spent many happy days in recent years.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. No visitation at this time. The funeral will be held later this summer at the St. Lawrence O’ Toole Church in Green Meadows, P.E.I. The interment will follow in the St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish Cemetery.
