WOODARD, MARIAN NADINE
The death of Marian Woodard of Oromocto, NB occurred on May 18th, 2015 at White Rapids Manor. Born July 10th, 1936 in Mohanes, a little village near St. Stephen, she was the daughter of the late Nielse and Margaret (Hall) Hansen and the wife of George Woodard.
She met her husband George in Mohanes, married in December, very close to George’s birthday, giving him a gift for life. Together they had two daughters and two sons. With George being in the military, the family lived in different places while the children were growing up such as Winnipeg, Germany three times and Gagetown.
The travelling gave Marian a great passion for life and creativity, cooking exotic foods, a love for nature walks, discovering the world and accepting people as they were, befriending all. She travelled hosting workshops on how to quit smoking and being an LPN was one of the greatest accomplishments for Marian. She made a difference in people’s lives. She loved needlepoint, cross stitch, reading, playing cards and fishing. Dogs and cats also had a special spot in Marian’s heart.
Marian is survived by her husband, George; her children, Michele Woodard of Australia, Eric Woodard of Winnipeg, MB, David Woodard of Miramichi, NB and Lisa Woodard of Westlock, AB; three grandchildren, Shawn Rompre, Christopher Rompre and Rebecca Woodard as well as twin great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jonathan Rompre.
There will be no visitation or service by request.
