Vicki Lynn Rodgers

Rodgers, Vicki Lynn – Truro

Rodgers, Vicki Lynn – Age 59, born August 20, 1955, passed away peacefully May 21, 2015, at her home in Truro, with caregivers, sister, Sharon, and dear friend, Debby Alexander, by her side.

Vicki’s light shone bright and left an imprint on all she met. She was a pillar of joy, full of laughter and compassion. She was outgoing, intelligent, strong, vibrant and spirited. She loved gardening, wine, travelling, music, art, literature, and film. More than anything, she loved her family and friends deeply.

She is survived by her loving partner, Sterling Kaulback. He was her caring and compassionate mate, by her side always. Sterling dedicated his life to her well-being, which her family will always remember. Her son, Sam and wife, Jennifer, grandsons, Wyatt and Osmund, and her son, John and partner, Belinda, will all miss her warm smile, as will Peter, father of her sons and a friend who remained close to her for many years. Sister, Sharon Daniels cared compassionately for Vicki in the twilight of her life, in the way that only the closest people in our lives can. Vicki’s nieces, Erin, Terilyn, Nicole and Melanie, and her nephews, Adam and Christopher, all held tight bonds and special relationships with her. Her mother, Glenna McLean, the great architect who helped shape Vicki’s infectious and beautiful spirit, and her sister Cynthia, will cherish a lifetime of memories with her. An extended number of family and friends will also remember Vicki. Vicki was predeceased by her father, Robert, and sister, Deborah.

Cremation has taken place. A tribute to Vicki’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, in the Holiday Inn, Truro. A private tribute will be held the following day for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colchester East Hants Hospice Society or Wentworth Baptist Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
