Elizabeth passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Leaving to mourn her husband of 66 years, Frank Janes; daughters: Barbara (Derek) Brown, George's Lake and Lisa (Brian) Johnston, Rothesay, NB; grand-children: Tracy Brown (Scott), Vancouver, BC, Andrew Brown (Kathleen), Quadra Island, BC, Emma and Adam Johnston, Rothesay, NB; great-grandson Keller Brown, Quadra Island, BC; sisters: Mamie (Wilfred) Howell, St. John's, NL, Joan Pinsent, Stephenville, NL and Patt Wiggins (Glenn), Bukingham, QC; brother in law Harold Janes, Devon, AB; sisters in law: Helen Humphries, Evelyn Blackwood, and Maude Janes; as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents Stephen and Annie Pearl Stratton; brothers: George Stratton (Josie), Jack Stratton (Sophie), and Dawson Stratton (Jean); brothers in law Clarence Janes, Harold Pinsent, Lacey Humphries, and Eleazer Blackwood; sister in law Sarah White (Norman). Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Oakland United Church, Oake's Road with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer society.
