MALO, Olivia Elizabeth - Today we celebrate the life of Olivia Elizabeth Malo, June 14, 1948 – May 28, 2015. After a courageous battle, Olivia passed away peacefully at home in London surrounded by family. Olivia celebrated her retirement from the CNIB, where she worked as a secretary in Yarmouth, NS and London, Ontario for over 30 years. Olivia was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and was predeceased by her parents John Leo and Zita Marie Pothier. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Wayne Marcel Malo. Devoted mother of four daughters; Wanda and Dwayne Highton, Tania and Jason Loos, Karen Malo and Holly Malo. She cherished her grandchildren; Jonathan and Jasmine Loos, Ethan and Elise Highton, Maddux and Jaxon. Dear sister of Rosalie Hattie and her nephew Steven Hattie. Predeceased by her brothers Alain and Armand.
Friends visited at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth, (519) 652-2020 on Wednesday from 7–9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 11–1 p.m. where the celebration of Olivia’s life followed at 1:00 p.m. Cremation with interment Woodhull Cemetery, Kilworth at a later date.
