It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bonheur "Polly" Clarke, age 79, of Springhill. Polly passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Harold "Schooner" and Bertha L. (Campbell) Casey.
She was a former member of the Saint John Ambulance. She was an avid Wrestling fan and loved to watch it on t.v. She enjoyed time with her family and friends and loved to play cards and bingo.
She will be sadly missed by daughters, Ruth Clarke and Brenda Boss (Jack) both of Springhill and Gloria (Jim) Furlong, Virginia, USA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Jack (Marg) Casey, Springhill.
She was predeceased by husband Garnet; daughter Donna; brother Dick Casey and sister Donna Weatherbee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at A H Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2 pm, Rev. Dawn Leger officiating. A light lunch will be served after the funeral, followed by burial in the Mapleton Cemetery.
