Mary 'Louise' MacDonald, 73, of Westmount, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the An Cala Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Jean (Muise) Mombourquette.
Louise was a sales clerk at Woolworths. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the CWL, Westmount. Louise enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters that were her pride and joy. She loved a good game of tarabish and her Monday night shuffle board group.
Louise is survived by her husband Gordon, son John (Kimberly) Sydney, daughter Kimberly, Sydney, sisters, Anna (Al) Bennett, Paulette (Angie) Pearson, both of Sydney and Charlene (Hugh) MacDonald, Marion Bridge, brothers, Joe (Betty), Westmount, Leo (Dale), Sydney, Brian (Krista), Fredericton, grandchildren, Hailey Reel, Kellsey MacDonald.
She was predeceased by sisters, Florence Morrison, Joan Hayes, brothers, Michael, Alex, Louis, Peter and Johnny.
Visitation will take place Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Doug Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
