WILSON-CORMIER, MYRTLE ISOBEL
Myrtle Isobel Wilson-Cormier, 103, of McNair Manor, and formerly of Second Ave., Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late George Lawrence and Annie (Tilbert) Donnelly Lutes.
Myrtle was a former employee of the K-Mart-Met in Highfield Square and retired from Zellers, Moncton Mall. A music lover, she was a member of Boundary Creek United Baptist Church, a former Sunday School Teacher, former member of the W.M.S., the Ladies Aid, Nomads #100, the Ladies Auxillary R.C.L. Branch #54 and was a Life Member of the Monctonian African Violet Society and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #31, Salisbury.
Myrtle will be sadly missed by her daughters, Rita Landry (Joseph), Kaye Landry (Cyril), and Thelma Wilson (Michael Molizak); son, Dale Wilson (Rose Marie); stepchildren, Thérèse Gallant (Lionel), Diana Gallant (Edgar), Estelle Caissie (René), Linda Hébert, Annette LeBlanc (Vincent) and Cathy Cormier; eight grandchildren, Ronald and Kyle Wilson, Cindy Arsenault, Karl Neil (Crystal) and Aaron Wilson; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Byrne Bratton (Ed); brother, Stewart Donnelly (Lois); sisters-in-law, Udivelle Donnelly, Helen Caissie and Annie Gaudet; daughter-in-law, Freda Wilson (late Clarence); many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husbands, Clayton Wilson (1989) and Joseph Cormier (2007); sons, Franklin, Clarence, Sydney; grandchildren, Lisa and Clinton; great-grandson Allen; brothers, Henry, William, Clinton, Herman, Donald, Thomas, Gordon, Leonard and Kirby; sisters, Colleen, Dorothy, Laura; daughter-in-law, Laura (McCarthy) Wilson.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Myrtle’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 1:30 pm, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Boundary Creek Cemetery.
