Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, on June 9, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by her parents Lucy and Tim Leonard, son Michael, sisters Helen Kennedy, Ethel and Phyllis Leonard, and brother Ken Leonard. Left with loving memories are her husband John Barton, sons Derek Barton (Veronica Jurado) and Owen Barton (Jacqueline Campbell), daughter Alaina Harper (Mark), brothers Gerald (Trudy Jaskella), Brian, Myles, John (Carol), Blair (Elizabeth), sisters Regina Leonard, Pat Dawson(Gerry), Sheila Leonard (Presentation Convent), grandchildren Andrew Ellis, Susan Snow, Gabrielle Barton and Gavin Barton. Special thanks to the ICU staff at St. Clare’s and the Health Sciences Complex. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater road. As requested by Noreen there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Teresa’s Church on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Interment at St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, Bell Island at 3p.m. Instead of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Gathering Place in her memory.
