It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, May Sampson on June 10, 2015 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Waterford, she was the only child of the late Joseph and Sarah (MacLeod) Sampson.
She is survived by her children, Tommy Blanchard (Alice), Richie Blanchard (Trish), Janice Reid (Keith), Toronto, Mary Blanchard (Kerry), her loving grandchildren Roberta, Chuckie, Cassandra, Matthew, Katlyn, RJ, Natasha, Sara; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Abby, Natalie, Emily and a stepson, Raymond Burns Jr. (Ruth).
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her partner of 28 years, Ray Burns.
In keeping with May’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
