Elizabeth Worobetz

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Yaria Worobetz. Surrounded by her children, grandchildren and beautiful hand drawn good wishes from great grandchildren, Elizabeth, at the age of 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Good Shepherd Villas in Prince Albert, SK on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Our Mom, Elsie, was born in Krydor, SK on October 22, 1926. Schooling was always part of her life having spent over 39 years in and part of the rural educational system and, through her tireless dedication, had touched and inspired many young hearts and minds. Mom loved to travel. She and Dad took us on many memorable trips throughout Canada and the United States. She was also a great lover of music and spent many hours playing the guitar, piano and singing her favorite songs. We will remember her as a loving, caring Mother who always thought of others before herself. She once said, "Looking back over my long life, you can see the happy moments, the heartaches and frustrations. Life is simple when we are young, growing more complex as time goes on, only to become more settled and content when one finds peace with oneself and with God." We know she has found peace and we will forever love her and keep her kind, gentle spirit in our hearts.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her five children; daughters Patricia (Ian) Codling and Cathy (Konias) Worobetz; sons Rob (Gloria) Worobetz, Terry (Michelle) Worobetz and Patrick (Jackie) Worobetz; grandchildren, Tara (Gary) Laidlow, Jason (Angela) Codling, Peter (Kristin) Codling, Rebecca (Todd) Talbot, Jonathon Codling and fiancée Ashley Burgess , Jessica (Scot) Stewart, Caylee (Craig) Guidinger, Bodan Worobetz and fiancée Jennifer Spicer, Ryan Worobetz, Kiana Worobetz, Michael Worobetz, Jonathon Worobetz, April Burridge; sisters-in-law Marie Dedish and Mary Elmer; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by: her spouse John Worobetz; father Stephan Dedish; mother Alexandra (Fedeyko) Dedish; father-in-law Filemon Worobetz; mother-in-law Maria Manko; step-mother-in-law Eva Worobetz; sisters, Elizabeth Anne Dedish(died in infancy), Anne Sawicki, Pauline Worby; brother Hank Dedish; brothers-in-law Murray Worobetz , Tony Sawicki, John Worby and Gordon Elmer; sister-in-law Olga Worobetz. The family wishes to express our greatest appreciation to the staff of the Good Shepherd Villas for their care and compassion during the last years of Mother's life.
