GAUVIN, OSCAR

Oscar Gauvin, 78, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Thursday, June 11th, 2015, at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Geraldine (née: LeBlanc) Gauvin.
Prior to retirement Mr. Gauvin worked for Boudreau Sheet Metal. In his leisure, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Nascar races and spending time at the camp. He was a member of Saint-Anselme Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Fidelis (née: Lirette); two daughters: Nicole (Raymond) Richard of Dieppe and Anne (Brad) Firth of Memramcook; four sons: Oscar Jr. (Kathy) of Shediac Bridge, Roger (Diane) of Dieppe, Robert (Cecilia) of Fredericton and Claude (Jacqueline) of Dieppe; three sisters: Eveline (late Edouard) of Bouctouche, Bertha and Gloria, both of Montreal, QC; one brother, Edgar of Montreal, QC; eight grandchildren: Jean-Luc, Sebastien, Marco, Caroline, Hayley, Stephanie, Matthew and Aaliyah; two great-grandchildren: Savannah and Christien, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service was held. Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
In his memory, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital “Oncology” would be appreciated by the family.
