HAWKES, MARJORIE EDITH BALDWIN
Marjorie Edith Baldwin Hawkes, (1910- 2015) of Fredericton, widow of the late Rev. Canon C.A. Hawkes died at Pine Grove Nursing Home Fredericton on June 15, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Morton E. and Jessie (Armstrong) Baldwin, born at Patience Lake Saskatchewan on June 29, 1910 and was educated in St. George, New Brunswick and at the Provincial Normal School. She taught in rural schools of Charlotte County until her marriage.
Survived by two sons: David (Sally) Hawkes of Ottawa; Andrew Hawkes of Blackville; two daughters Marian (Doug) Cottrell of Fredericton and Margaret (John) Larlee of St. Andrews; grandchildren Michael, Peter (Connie) Hawkes; Christopher (Kathryn), Daniel (Tammy) and Angela Hawkes; David (Rachel), Anne and Louise Larlee; Sean Cottrell; five great grandchildren, Zachery, Grace and James Hawkes; Ethan and Thomas Larlee; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings: sisters Helen Rubin, Florence Trynor, Anna Mackenzie, Marian, and Bessie (in infancy) and her brothers Harold, Edgar, Oscar, and Donald Baldwin.
There will be no visitation at the request of the family. The funeral service and Requiem Eucharist will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 18th, 2015. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
