Melva Cameron
Ethel “Melva” Cameron age 87, formerly of MacPherson’s Mills, passed away on Tuesday, June 16th, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in MacPherson’s Mills, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (MacMillan) Cameron.
She was a resident of Sunset Haven in New Glasgow, prior to that having resided on the Mountville Rd.
She was an adherent of the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn.
She was a member of the Thorburn Seniors Friendly Group.
She will always be remembered as a special aunt by nieces: Diane Treen of MacLellan’s Brook Rd.; Kathy (Mike) Stephen of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Charlane Kelly of Mountville; Lorraine (Dave) Isenor of the Annapolis Valley; a nephew: Danny (Elizabeth) MacLeod of Mountville. Also surviving are brothers: Lawrence (Mary) Cameron of Burlington Ont.; Morris (Gale) Cameron of Hamilton, Ont.; Calvin (Molly) Cameron of Coalburn; a sister: Mary Stewart of Lochbroom, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sisters: Ida MacLeod & Catherine Cameron, brothers: Roy, Burns Nyles and Lyons.
The family will receive visitors from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King Street, New Glasgow.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
Burial will be in the Castle Hill Cemetery.
Family flowers only.
