Sister Jeannette Brun, ndsc, in religion Marie-Blandine, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at the convent where she resided following a long illness. She was 87 and in her 70th year of her religious life. Born on January 31, 1928 in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of the late Émile and Euphémie (Cormier) Brun.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by four brothers: Roméo (Lilianne) and Léo, both of Moncton, Donald of Florida and Claude of Shediac; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Sr Florine, ndsc, and three brothers: Laurie, Normand and Gérald.
Sister Brun will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday from 2 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Friday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
