1926 – 2015
Sheila was born in Montreal, Quebec on June 22, 1926, daughter of the late Don and Grace Jamieson. She died June 18, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Allan Dibblee in 1988 and is survived by her daughters, Katherine Asch and Nancy McLellan of Woodstock, Susan and her husband, Philip Evans of Bathurst and granddaughters, Jane (Joseph) Moran and Maggie Evans, Sally and her husband Chris Lynn of Fredericton and grandsons, Robbie and Patrick. She is also survived by her sister Alice of Montreal.
She graduated from the Montreal General Hospital School of Nursing and McGill University as a Public Health Nurse.
Sheila worked for many years in Public Health in Carleton County. She was a former Warden and devoted member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, taking an active part in church activities for over 60 years. As well, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, VON, Music Festival and Hospice.
Her happiest memories included world-wide travel and summers on the island at Skiff Lake.
Visitation at The Culberson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 am from St. Luke's Anglican Church with Rev. Shirley Noseworthy officiating. Friends are invited to share memories at a reception in the church hall following the memorial service.
For memorials, the family has suggested the St. Luke’s Memorial Fund or the Woodstock Library.
