SMITH, VINCENT HAROLD
May 16, 1959 – June 20, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of Vincent Harold Smith of Gagetown announce his passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on June 20, 2015. Vince was born in Minto on May 16, 1959 to Ida and the late Harold Smith.
Vince lived most of his life in Gagetown where he enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family, friends, and his dog Bud. Vince enjoyed long drives, yard sales, and the flea market. He was employed by Gerald F. Dykeman for 30 years.
Vince is survived by his mother, Ida Smith of Coal Creek; loving wife, Mary of Gagetown; sons, Mitchell Walton of Hampton and Mathew Smith (Melissa) of Gagetown; daughter, Meagan Smith (Peter) of Gagetown, and grandson, Cody. Vince will also be missed by several uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Harold; grandparents, George and Edna Smith, Moses and Pearl Weaver, and his uncle, Leonard Weaver.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 11:00 am with Rev. Steven Ferris officiating. Interment will be held in the Upper Hampstead Road Cemetery following the service. The family invites you to a reception at Grace United Church in Gagetown following the interment.
