Barton, James Edward
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of James Barton of New Maryland, NB on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in North Clones, NB on March 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Marjorie (McCutcheon) Barton and husband of Evelyn (Horncastle) Barton.
James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn; children, Barbara (Bob), Herbert (Anna) and Steven (Diane); grandchildren, Matthew (Kim) and Robert; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Meira and Amelia; brother, Albert and his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Helen and his brother, George.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Rev. Larry Matthews will officiate. All are welcome to a reception at the church following the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in James’ honor may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.mcadamsfh.com.
