BAKER, DOROTHY
After a five year battle with cancer, Dorothy Irene Baker of Tilley passed on to be with the Lord at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on Monday evening, June 29, 2015. Dorothy was born in Tilley on August 14, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Hazel (Hanscomb) Millard.
Dorothy leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Lewis Baker; her sons Jeffrey Baker (Sharon) of Tilley, Peter Baker (Heather Stewart) of Durham Bridge, NB, Lance Baker (Lori) of Fredericton; brothers Lyle Millard (Donna) of Tilley and Alton Millard of Tilley. She was a "special nan" to grandsons Aaron Morgan, Kyle Baker, Lucus Baker, Tyson Baker, Jordan Baker. A special delight, her pride and joy of the last four years are five great-grandchildren Jack, Garrett, Chantal, Zackary, and Averie Baker.
She is predeceased by her parents; her sisters Marina Demmings, Geraldine Goodine, and Ruth Moorecraft; her brothers Gilbert and Gerald Millard.
Resting at the Family Worship Center in Plaster Rock with visitation on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 2 pm from the Family Worship Center. Rev. Daniel McKillop officiating. Interment will follow in the Currie Cemetery in Tilley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Southern Victoria Cancer Assistance Fund or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
