It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, and sister, Linda Mary (Landry) Martell, 65. She passed away suddenly at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, on June 30, 2015. She will be greatly missed. She was born January 24, 1950 in Summerside, P.E.I. She was predeceased by her parents Alban and Mary Landry, and brother Alban Jr. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Jule; her daughter Jolene, her brother Alan (Sarah) of Summerside, sister-in-law Marie (James), nephews Matthew, P.E.I., JJ, Sydney, and niece Renée, Sydney. She will also be missed by close friends Maggie, Tilley, Bear, Soot, and Lucy. Visitation will be held Friday, July 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A memorial service will take place 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Kidney Foundation.
