RUDOLPH, FERNE ROSE
Ferne R. Rudolph, 86, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Born in Bridgewater, NS, she was the daughter of the late Starratt and Jennie (Lawson) Dolliver.
Ferne was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and a former Telephone Operator with Maritime Telephone & Telegraph Co. She was an active, longtime member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Riverview, past President of the ACW and was a former choir member. She loved spending summers at the family cottage in Broad Cove, NS, loved collecting antiques and enjoyed a quiet coffee with her friends.
Ferne will be sadly missed by her sons, James Rudolph (Mona) of Maple Ridge, BC, Gary Rudolph (Dawn) of Hammonds Plains, NS and Daniel Rudolph (Yvonne) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Jonathan, Clayton, Michael, Brooke, Chantelle (Andrew) and Cody; sister, Helen Kelly (George) of Boston, Mass.; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, James Joseph Rudolph (1989) and her sisters, Grace Morley and Jean Cooke.
Visitation hours will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Ferne’s life will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Woolridge St., Riverview on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 am with The Venerable Brent Ham officiating. Reception following the service. Interment to take place at Dayspring Cemetery, Lunenburg Co., NS, on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church Memorial Fund or memorial of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
