Millicent Eloise Noren, the youngest daughter of ten children from Albert and Cora Ann Walsh, passed last Thursday morning in her home in Richland Hills, Texas. Born in Western Bay on December 18, 1922, she lived her adult life in many parts of the US but never forgot her Newfoundland roots and often spoke of her childhood with fond memories and never missed the opportunity to enjoy a good meal of fish and brews. Millicent leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Charles Noren and her daughter Christine Noren-Gentry, her son-in-law Calvin Gentry and one grand son by birth, Christopher Gentry, and one adopted Justin Manis. She will be greatly missed but her memory will be with us until we meet again
