The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, July 4, 2015, of Doris Gertrude Gorrill, Birch Hill, aged 75 years. Born on March 23, 1940, in Birch Hill, daughter of the late Prowse and Erma (Williams) Gorrill. Doris is survived by brothers Elmer (Sybil) Gorrill and John “Jack” Gorrill, both of Birch Hill; nephew Garth (Connie) Gorrill, nieces Gayle (Ewen) Lamont and Gerri (Tyler) Ellis. Loving remembered by her grand nieces and nephews Daniel, Angelina and Elizabeth Gorrill, Carson, Devon and Jaxon Lamont, Kelton, Alexa and Martina Ellis. Predeceased by her parents. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at St. James Anglican Church, Port Hill at 11 a.m. In memory of Doris, memorials to Stewart Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. James Anglican Church would be appreciated. Interment will follow in St. James Anglican Cemetery.
