SIMON, RAYMOND
(1933-2015)
ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Raymond Simon 82, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Born in Big Cove, he was the son of the late William Simon and late Irene Clair. Before retiring, Raymond was employed as a custodian at the Elsipogtog School, he also was a Band Councillor for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool & darts and sports.
Raymond will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Emily (Peters) Simon; three daughters, Marie Sanipass (Raymond), Jacqueline "Jackie" Paul, Andrea Simon (Donald); one son, Darrell Simon (Janice); seventeen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Bella Bernard, Nora Augustine; two brothers, Tom Clair, Gary Simon and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons, Richard "Ricky", Lyman; one daughter, Francine and five brothers, Leonard, Daniel, William, Patrick, Joe and Douglas.
Resting at his home at 337 Big Cove Road, Elsipogtog with visitation beginning on Tuesday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 am, St. Anne`s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
