Destineé Alia Donovan, 15, of Kentville, passed away suddenly, Friday, July 3, 2015.
Born in Kentville on Jan. 2, 2000, she was a daughter of Angela (Balcom) (Mason) and Joseph Donovan, Kentville. She attended school at KCA and NKEC, where she just finished Grade 9. She could be described as strong, artistic, a leader, an animal lover, quirky, beautiful, a kind soul, a giving person, peaceful, creative, determined, having an incredible sense of humour, full of life and spiritual. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and most of all, helping others.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Janet and Wayne Balcom, Delhaven; paternal grandparents, Ron and Frances Donovan, Glace Bay; maternal aunts, Susan Balcom, Habitant and Heather (Grant) Best, West Hall's Harbour; maternal uncle, Ian (Nadine) Balcom, Waterville; paternal aunts, Jo-Anne (Stephen) MacGillivray and Darlene Donovan, both of Glace Bay; paternal uncles, Ronnie (Debbie) Donovan and Pat (Cathy) Donovan, both of Glace Bay; many cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
