THOMSON, GEORGE
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of George Allen "Geordie" Thomson at home at sunrise on July 8, 2015 at the age of 81 with his wife at his side. Geordie was born in Hampstead on February 25, 1934, the son of the late George and Effie (Reicker) Thomson.
Geordie is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of 53 years; sons, John (Candis) of Oromocto, Douglas of Florenceville-Bristol, Bruce of Hampstead, and Andrew (Danielle) of Hampstead; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel and Jennifer Thomson; sisters, Mildred Palmer of Grand Bay-Westfield and Adeline (Clifford) Price of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Eldon Palmer.
Visitation will be held at Sherwood's Funeral Home, 18 Scovil Road, Norton on Friday, 10 July from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at Sherwood's Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 2pm with Pastor Preston Mowry officiating. Interment will take place in the Central Hampstead Cemetery following the service.
