Elthea Louise Sullivan

SULLIVAN (Brown), Elthea Louise – 68, Truro. The death of Elthea Louise (Brown) Sullivan, occurred at her residence on Friday, July 10, 2015, following a brief illness, with her husband at her side. Born in Kentville, she was raised by her grandparents, the late Alan and Emma Brown. (Canning). Elthea worked for Royal Bank for 40 years and retired in 2005. She loved her motorhome, traveling to music festivals and camping. She loved her puppies, Meko and Myla, and her family. Elthea is survived by her husband of 47 years, James W. “Butch” Sullivan; sisters, Phyllis Blenkhorn, The Look Off, Canning; Elizabeth (Garnet) Turner and family, Aldershot; brothers, Sheldon (Flora) Brown and family, Canning; Allison (Marleen) Brown and family, Aylesford; very special niece, Tanya Turner Hurshman and son, Braeden, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Jane (Bill) Campbell and family, Moncton. She will be sadly missed by best friends, Edie Leadbetter, Laurie Hines, Bob Magee, Wayne and Darlene Clements, all of Truro, and all our “Festie Friends”. Along with her grandparents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Kay Lockhart, Jean Ward, Sheila VanMeechren; brother, Laurie Brown. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Honouring Elthea’s wishes, there will be no service and her cremated remains will be spread. If so desired, donations in Elthea’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or SPCA are welcomed.
