Higgins, Shirley Ann - 76, Crowes Mills, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 9th 2015. Shirley was born in Tatamagouche and lived a life full of love and laughter, and enjoyed the simple things in life. She had a big heart and a love for animals. She enjoyed country music and could always be found singing or humming a song, even if she didn't know the tune! Christmas was a special time of year for her as that's when all of her kids got together. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Shirley will be forever remembered by her children Lisa (Steve), Larry (Donna), Lana, and Misti (Randy); grandchildren, Garth, Lacey, Alisha, Jolene, Ashley, Jon, Josh, Colby, Melissa and Cydney; great grandchildren, Jayden, Tristan, Rhyleigh, Ethan, Carson. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Lawrence. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14th from 7-9 p.m., with a celebration of her life to be held Wednesday, July 15th at 2p.m. all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev.
