QUINTON MERVIN RUSSELL SWANSON
On Saturday July 11, 2015, Quint passed away at the age of 88 years in Providence Place, Moose Jaw. Quint was born September 18, 1926, the second oldest child in a family of 5, on the Swanson homestead in the Lake Valley district. Quint attended Livingstone School northeast of Brownlee, completing grade 11. The family moved to a farm in the Keeler district in 1943 and Quint farmed and resided there until 2013 when failing health prompted the move to Providence Place. Predeceased by his parents Reckard and Gertie, 1 brother, and son-in-law Albert West, Quint is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne; daughter Judy West, grandchildren Kerry and Russell; daughter Wanda Jones (Brent), grandchildren Blair and Jasmyn; son Kevin Swanson (Kerry), grandchildren Amanda and Brett and two great-granddaughters Kelsee and Sydnee Christmann. A private celebration of Quinton’s life will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. In living memory of Quinton, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
