McTIERNAN, LORETTA MARIE
Loretta Marie (LeBlanc) McTiernan of Fredericton, NB, wife of late George T. McTiernan passed quietly at her residence on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Born on May 31, 1932 in St. Paul, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Alma M. LeBlanc.
Loretta was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Loretta was employed with Shoppers Drug Mart for 10 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards and reading.
Loretta is survived by her daughter, Dianne Hudson of Waltham, MA; sons, Patrick McTiernan (Lauren) of Prince George, BC, Ronald McTiernan (Chris Lewis) of Ottawa, ON; granddaughters, Keri Hudson, Catrina Rueckwald (Mike), Erin Weare (Jason); great-grandchildren, Sydney, Brandon, Brooke and Jade; sister, Lena Bishop of Minto, NB; sister-in-law, Cecile LeBlanc of New Maryland, NB several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Loretta was predeceased by her sister Stella McRae (Floyd); brother, Laurie LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Allison Bishop.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
